Some design I like
You can always find good window display in Taipei. They like mixing elements of Japanese and Chinese design. “Kaiwai” is their common idea.
Their product design stores also love to sell various items from Northern Europe and the US.

We went to the second top floor of Taipei 101. It was alright. We didn’t get to the very top floor which is outdoor. What I like the most is their mail box. The idea is cute. You can post postcards to your friends and family by placing them into different categories.
No commentsIce tea culture
When I had ice tea in LA, I need to put sugar inside the tea. The sugar can’t be melted as the tea is cold. When I am back to Asia, I also have ice tea often but we mix with syrup. The syrup is mixed well with cold drink. It’s interesting to know the cultural differences of having ice tea.

At Cello
This is the most famous pasta store in Taipei. They only offer 3 pasta dishes everyday. They have no menu on the table. Their kitchen and dinning area are totally separated. The kitchen is located in a store where is about two stores away from the dinning room. The menu is placed outside their kitchen. You have to order before you go to the dinning area. The waiter has to bring you food from the next store. We both can’t finish our pasta, as they are too rich. I only had half dish.
No commentsMango Ice
This Mango Ice store was on Carrie’s “MUST EAT” list. This is the most famous ice dessert store in Taipei. Most of HK people must visit this store in Taipei. You can see the queue outside the store all year round regardless of winter or summer. Ice mango and Ice kiwi are popular during summer. Ice strawberry is popular during winter.
No commentsPlace I used to hang around….
I used to hang around a lot in the local night market for daily dinning. Night market food is very local and very delicious. They are nothing fancy. You have to eat on the street, but I like it though.
No commentsLocal Japanese eating
We went to Mos Burger for breakfast. It was almost two years ago the last time I ate in Mos Burger.
I saw the same Japanese pancake in LA, but I didn’t eat it as I was too full that night. I saw them again in Taipei, so we did order it. However, I shared this with Carrie. We cannot finish the whole piece either. Those in LA are twice bigger than those in the photos.
