Risking it all
Take the risk, change your life! I watched this programme tonight. It was about how people set up their business. Today topic was about the hotel business set up by four people. They are friends, and decided to run a hotel together. Each person is responsible for different jobs upon their talent. One of them is a chef, and one is an interior designer responsible for all the furnishing and building works. One is an accountant, and one is for administration. The work wasn’t smooth as each person had his or her own opinions. They couldn’t compromise easily. They stated it was easy to set up a goal but it was hard to compromise with eachother. Each of them didn’t open up completely, and voice what they want to do so it made the project to run so slow. At last, four of them found the balance, and successfully had the hotel opened.
This programme is a series. It talks about how friends run business together and how they achieve it. Many work groups were good friends to begin with, but ended up with lots of disagreement at work. Such story is very common, and inevitably. However, when you try to think everyone is an individual person then you would understand the differences. You can always find the gap and the common in between the difference, then naturally you can just fit into it, and compromise with eachother. I think it works in work relationship, friendship and also relationship as well as no matter what situation people are in. This is the reason why I like to pick “circle” if there are choices of triangle, square and whatsoever shapes for selection. ![]()
The very hot propaganda
Oh dear! I can’t believe that my sister showed me this during lunch time. Her boy friend went to Taiwan for visits, but came back with such souvenir from the opposition of presidential protest. This is really a typical Taiwanese politic culture. It’s hard to imagine they will produce such commercial items for the usage of protest. The one in the photo is the floor mat, which provides for sitting purpose while you are in the demonstration. They also sell scarves, water bottles and caps, etc. They even have the leaflet for the demonstration of how they should be used.

It’s incredible the way they describe the usage of floor mat on the leaflet. The floor mat was printed with the name of Taiwanese president, so it means while you are protesting, you can sit on him, and step on him. Gosh!!! I don’t see the politic purpose, but can definitely see the sense of humour of Taiwanese. Besides this, Taiwanese like using “hot” model for any kind of public propaganda, so beautiful hot model must be presented.
The best full moon in nine years
The moon this year is really beautiful no matter I see it among the tall buildings in a crowd city or on our top roof in country area. Happy Moon Festival!!

Traditional mooncakes
We really have so many mooncakes this year. My sister actually has 17 boxes of mooncakes given by her company. We keep one box of traditional mooncake, one box of icy mooncake, and two boxes of ice cream mooncakes, the rest we gave them to friends and relatives.
This is the traditional one.

I do like their packaging, especially the embossed recycling paper container. The icy mango mooncakes do taste good too, but not my favourite. I guess I have been fully attracted by ice cream mooncakes this year. ![]()

Eventually arrived…
Another box of Haagen Dazs ice cream mooncakes eventually landed in our house…..Be honest! It doesn’t taste that good as Gelato. I was a little bit disappointed!
It’s just something missing in the taste of it…
but I don’t know what?? I am only sure it’s not related to the ice cream….hummm maybe they don’t have the mango cream for the fillings. They are only plain ice cream under the chocolate crisp.

I am a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Story one: I went to pay for the car parking adminstration fee for my Dad though we don’t have a car, but our house does come with a car space originally….
Me: Hi, I want to pay for the car parking adminstration fee this month. Our car parking space is No. 30.
Administer: Yes, oh you are from Mr. Lee’s house? Where is he now?
Me: Yes. I am a daughter of Mr. Lee. He went for holidays.
Administer: How’s his legs? Did he recover well?
Me: Yes, sure. Thank you for asking!
Story two: I was ringing the door bell of ground floor neighbour….
Mrs Tang: Who are you looking for?
Me: Are you Mrs. Tang? I am a daughter of Mrs. Lee from the top floor. My Mum said she wants to give you a box of mooncake as a gift for Moon Festival. She went for holidays.
Mrs Tang: (being very surprise) Mug Kum Hak Hei Ah! (in Cantonese, it means, you shouldn’t do that in polite way)
Me: It’s fine. It’s our pleasure.
It’s the first time to introduce myself to our neighbours as a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee. I guess our neighbours don’t actually recognise me. When they saw me, they couldn’t figure out who I am. They usually recognise my sister as my sister has been living in this area longer than me. I was always in overseas. I reckon that my parents do have very good relationship with our neighbours. My Dad didn’t even go out when his legs were not well, but our neighbours did know his status well. Mrs. Tang has been a very good neighbour, so my Mum is being thoughtful by giving her a box of mooncake for gift. Moon Festival is very meaningful. It’s not just about the utility of family, is also about being thoughtful towards the people you care about.
2 commentsIt’s just too delicious…
This is Berry Lover. It’s a berry sobert actually. This is Chocolate Kiss.

I love the mango cream filling. It looks like the salty egg yolk of real mooncakes. I guess it’s hard to find something else that looks like the skin of real mooncakes for the replacment of chocolate crisp.
I am now waiting for another box of Haagen Dazs ice cream mooncakes! I already had a whole one for lunch. I doubt I can have the same quantity for the real mooncake in one day!!
2 commentsMy eyes opened wide….
Wow! My eyes opened wide when I opened the freezer this morning. Galeto Ice-cream mooncake!!! Berry lover, Chocolate kiss, Vanilla and Green tea!! I was thinking to buy a box of Haagen Dazc ice-cream mooncake last night when I had an ice-cream in there. I didn’t expect that my sister did bring a box back home from her company last night. She said she is going to have another box of Haagen Dazc ice-cream mooncake tonight too. Her company is very kind to her employees. They give away boxes of mooncakes and fruits for the Moon Festival. Anyway, I can’t wait to have this box….

Belly fusion
Teacher:
You are going to have fun. We are not doing professional belly dance here, OK!
If you don’t dance good, never mind!
Once she started the music, she certainly forgot what she said. She kept dancing herself and didn’t realise she actually danced too fast. When she realised she did, she immediately said “I am so sorry, as I teach six classes a day, sometimes just can’t help to dance non-stop once I see students in front of me”. She has great sense of humour! She kept saying the same things during the class…. “push your hips out” “Your tummy! Your tummy!”. I found it such great fun. I am sure I am not qualified to do belly dancing as I have no big belly, but tonight I just accompanied my friend. It is fun to do it once a while though. The music is great. It’s type of music do make me dance non-stop. Some steps are similar to Dive. I do Latin dance and yoga regularly, so I don’t find it too difficult to follow. I like the way the hands move, and the shimmy walk…. I do wonder if women always dance like that, how they can have big bellies??
I was incredibly hungry after the class, so can’t help to have a delicious steak burger right after it. I feel particularly good to eat after I did so many exercises. It’s kind of psychological satisfaction.

National busy holiday!
Ahhhh! I eventually can sit down properly, and make a post on my blog. Yes, I had been a bit busy during the National holiday but I was busy with invitation friends of having barbecue in my house. I prepared lots of food, and cooked my homemade vegetable soup. I prepared everything one day before they came. I enjoy doing it though. I like cooking for people. It’s my pleasure to cook for friends and family, and of course also for my love! I am just like my Dad. My Dad likes cooking for people too.
After the eventful eating day, I did clean my whole house today. I also washed my dogs, as I don’t want them to fill with barbecue smell. I realised that my dog, Bibi is getting old. She has been with us for nine years. She is nine years old now. Her hair is getting grey. Her hair was in black, white and silver tone few years ago, but now no longer existed. I like her eyes. Her eyes always look so innocent. No matter how old she is, she is always cute in my eyes.
