YOGAYUGA

Where there is YogaYuga, there is inspiration!

Simple cheerful day!

I attended a meditation class this afternoon, which was taught by a new yoga teacher. We had about 20 mins of breathing session, then had 40 mins of meditation. His teaching is very different from what Yogi used to teach. Yogi liked to play music while we were meditating. This teacher didn’t play any music, but only asked us to meditate quietly and observed in mind. It’s hard as it’s not easy to sit still without sound. However, I found my neck pain released slightly after the meditation, which was caused by the massage I had yesterday. Overall, I feel very relaxed after class, and being cheerful. I will try the meditation class again next week, and see if I could do it better.

I went to have coffee in Pret after class. I was reading book while having coffee. It was an relaxing late afternoon. I enjoyed it especially it wasn’t crowd at all in Pret. There were plenty of seats and tables available. I am glad that the cold is gone, and spring is by the corner. It sounds like I always blame on the cold!!
After I left Pret, I took West Rail home. There were three teenagers sitting opposite me. Each of them carried a shopping bag with a box of shoes inside. A girl took her new high heel shoes out, and put them on her feet. She put her old shoes in the box. A guy sat next to her, did the same. They both just put on their new shoes inside the train without concern much of others watching them. They both looked so happy by watching their new shoes. While I was watching them, I was thinking… “Have I done this before?” No! I haven’t. I am sure I must ever had the same mind as them when I was a kid but it seems something that I haven’t done for long time. When I looked at them, I felt… “Happiness is very simple”… You don’t need to buy expensive stuff to make yourself happy. You are happy because you are satisfied spiritually with yourself. Overall, I had a simple cheerful day.

I am still around…

Hi ya! I am still around and kicking! ;-) Oh well, I admit that I am a bit lazy to write up my blog lately. I will blame on the cold. LoL hahaha Nah! Anyway, I still love to eat as usual. I had a big steamboat dinner tonight after having hair cut. My hairdresser suggested me doing a bit of perm for the front part of my hair, but ended up no difference before and after. The hairdresser didn’t charge me extra for the perm anyway.

The weather forecast reported that we will have very warm weather next week. That’s great! I can’t wait for that!

Here is the noise…

I like the sunshine on my balcony, but I don’t like their noise at night. These cats are making horrible noise at night. I saw them eventually today. They are lucky as my sister is not around. My sister told me that she almost wanted to throw some stones towards them in the middle of night last week if she saw them. I don’t blame her. ;-)

Today is sunny. The weather is wonderful. The cold is no longer existed. Sunshine always makes you feel good, and feel bright. ^_^

La Pampa

I went to La Pampa for dinner in Soho. The steak was fine, but I found the way they cooked is rather dry included the vegetables. The portion is kind of large. The French onion soup was nice, but the cheese on top was a bit like a piece of biscuit. The restaurant was so full though. It seems like a popular restaurant in Soho.

The city was a bit quiet today no matter where I went. The MTR wasn’t crowd as well as shopping mall. I guess it’s because of the cold. Well, it’s not really that cold but I guess sometimes it’s nice to stay in during winter time especially staying at home and watching movies on internet! ;-)

Noisy day

I think the construction work of these three houses will be finished less than two months! The workers emptied the land within three days. They finished the ground floor and built up the scaffolding by bamboo within a month. They are now working on the second floor. It is unbelievable noisy. I woke up by the noise in early morning everyday. I think they want to finish it before Chinese New Year, so they even work on Sunday. Although it’s noisy, I still work as usual, and being focus. I think I start to get used to it. One thing I concern the most is the distance of the new house will be very near to our house as the distance looks like less than one meter in between.
My Dad acts like he is the one in charge of this construction site as he watches them working on it everyday. He knows every single details if those workers are doing good jobs or not. In fact, we did notice that our Dad knows many things happening around our living area. He did meet so many neighbourhoods my Mum and me have never imagined he would talk to them actively. What I mean is he is not meeting people living around us, he is actually meeting people in some villages quite a distance from where we live. Those people could be old ladies who sell vegetables around villages, the old men who grow plants and flowers in the garden, the old ladies who collect recycling material for sell, etc. He usually meets them by his cycling daily trip. I do think my Dad can be described as “down to earth” actually. He doesn’t show his real character obviously on his appearance, but the way he treats others that definitely can tell.

Queue up and line up

I went to walk around in Marks & Spencers after yoga class today. The following conversation is what I heard in front of the casier. Two western men were standing in front of casier. I was going into the queue by paying my food…..
American man: Do I line up in here?

English man: You mean queue up?

American man: line up?

English man: yes, queue up

Then they both looked at eachother and laughed, and said “well, I think we mean the same things!”

This reminded me my “line up” experience in L.A. when I saw a queue/line for wine testing in the Food and Wine festival, I would say “let’s queue up!”. This is not the correct way to say in the U.S. I have been told it sounds very UK. “Queue up” is common way to say in HK. Anyway, I remember well now I have to say “line up” when I am in L.A. again next time. ^_^V

Very weird honey…

My cousin bought us some honey from N.Z. I opened it this morning, and found it looks so weird. The taste is fine, but is just different from usual honey. It costs NZD29.00. It’s a kind of expensive honey I think. Although it is weird, it does heal my sore throat. L0L

What a cat!

She was hanging around in the sitting room today. She is a very beautiful cat actually, but just not so kind to me. She probably doesn’t like me. She kept turning around while I was trying to take her photos. What a cat!

Men guilty in fat dog trial

Well, I don’t know what to comment about this news as a dog owner, but I guess I need to give less food to my Bibi. hahaha! It’s hard to imagine that keeping your dog fat could commit to crime. (well, I am not sure if it is related to real crime or not, but is a trial overall) I have never thought of that, as to certain extent I always think pets are cute to be fat. Anyway, the dog’s owners do have to pay certain responsibilities to the way they took care of their dog.
