Two months of wonderful time in the U.S.
I spent almost two months of wonderful time in the U.S. which I didn’t expect. It was a fruitful experience, not only for work but also for my personal life exposure. Travel becomes part of my life.
It seems that I will spend more time in the U.S. for the upcoming year. I need to learn how to drive!!

Enjoy the nice scene of San Francisco!
Unexpected coincidence
The world is just so small. Indeed! Indeed! One from Hong Kong! Two from Australia! We are totally from two different sides of the world, but we happened to meet up on Miami Beach for sunbath. How amazing!!
I didn’t expect that I would meet Colin and Norman in Miami. Colin came to the U.S. for business trip, but he flew down to Florida with Norman from Colorado for a short weekend break. They drove down from Fort Lauderdale to Miami today, so we met up. I didn’t expect that I would see them again so easy after they left Hong Kong six months ago. Of course! I didn’t expect that I would have sunbath with them on Miami Beach. What a surprise! What an unexpected coincidence!! I was so happy to see them especially we met in Miami. It’s just too special to be true.
Anyway….Thank you for the creator of Facebook! We found where we are through our status update on Facebook; therefore, we found eachother in the U.S.

Unexpected painful experiences!
Haha! I had never thought that I would visit dentist in the U.S. I had terrible toothache a day ago. It almost killed me. I had meeting the whole day in the office, but still hold on to it. I just didn’t want to quit from those meetings. Actually, I was stupid. I just made myself to suffer from the most horrible pain I had ever had. It was an old problem of that particular tooth, but it came back from time to time. Unfortunately, it came back during my time in Miami.
Our company driver drove me to see the dentist. He accompanied me for two hours. I had my tooth removed because the root of it cracked into four pieces inside the gum. Therefore, it brought me terrible pain. It also cost me quite a lot. It cost USD350.00 for the tooth removal without the local medical insurance. I did purchase the worldwide travel insurance, so it should cover part of it. However, it wasn’t that bad as I thought. I thought it would be up to USD800.00 in my case. My colleagues also said it cost much less than they expected as I am a total non resident here.
I was overdosed the next day in the office because the pain killer I took, which was too strong for me. My body couldn’t stop shaking all the sudden. I even had temperature. I took one capsule in every eight hours and took it for three times, but the pain killer was too much for my size and weight. My colleague called the dentist and asked why I had such problem. She explained that it seems like I was overdosed with the pain killer. It was my second experience in here. I was also overdosed with cough severe three weeks ago. It brought me very fast heart beat with a bit of temperature within 30 seconds after I had one tablespoon of severe. I took one tablespoon every four hours as instructed and only took twice, but the nurse said that it was too strong for my size and weight. Unbelievable! I had never had such problem in any places before regardless where I was.
What an unexpected “painful experiences”!!
No commentsHow old are you?
Franklin: What’s your name??
Me: Joyce
Franklin: How old are you?
Me: Much older than you…and how old are you?
Franklin: I have a girl friend.
Me: Are you sure??
Franklin: I got seven girl friends. No! Hundred!!
Me: What??
Franklin: Come! Come! Look! Look! This is my girl friend!! Dora!! HaHaHa!! (I walked to his computer, and looked at what he was watching. He was watching a cartoon on Youtube.)
I can’t stop laughing! I can’t imagine such words were spoken out from a 4 years old boy’s mouth. He is a son of my colleague. He came with his mum today. He rushed to get hold of one of the free computers in our department, and quickly opened Youtube right away within 1 minute and shouted “DORA!!” My girl friend Dora, hahaha!!
Funny Franklin..
He loves eating chocolate cookie. He hold them with both of his hands. So cute! He looks like 8 for his height and size but he is only 4!!

Happy Halloween!
I experienced Halloween many times in different places, but this time is the most original experience I had ever had. It’s also the first time I experienced such fun in the office. We had costume competition, games and dance. Of course! We had fun.

Longest summer of the year, 2009!
Have you ever noticed that no matter what photos I posted lately, they all are in summer?? Since last December, I only experienced three months of winter time throughout 2009 (now it’s almost November). I was in Miami during December, 2008. It was HOT! I was in Miami during April this year, and IT WAS VERY HOT!! I was back to H.K. during May, and it became sightly HOT. I was in Cambodia during June and July, and WAS CRAZILY HOT!! The rest of time I spent in H.K. and Mainland, was unbelievable HOT in every single corner of Chinese region. Hangzhou was EXOTIC HOT. When I was in Vietnam and Philippines during August and October, needless to say it was also VERY HOT. I am here now in Miami, it’s certainly HOT, and sometimes is VERY HOT.
Here are some latest scenes of Miami Beach and Lincoin Road in Fall.

First meal on the night arrived in Miami
I stayed in a different hotel for the first week in Miami before I moved back to another hotel, where I usually stay. It’s a business meeting week. We arranged all the guests to stay in the same hotel the first week.
It’s a nice hotel. They gave me a piece of cookie for my arrival, pretty good!! It became my first meal of the night.

5 different flights, 5 different places, 4 countries, 33 hours in 6 days
I had been in 5 different places (4 countries) in 6 days and spent 33 hours for the whole journey by 5 different flights. It’s really the maximum I had ever reached in my travel experiences – Manila, Saigon, H.K., N.Y. and Miami…in 6 days!!
Here are my landing and take off videos….Nice scene, nice view, nice sound…I do think so though!
Took off from Philippines
Landed in Hong Kong
Landed in Saigon
Landed in New York
I love this video, as we passed through many planes…
No commentsSaigon again in three months!
I had done many things for my job. I had been for some nice dinners, nice “shopping” for my job, nice time spending with a friend. It was also a short trip, but three days this time.

One day wandering around in Manila!!
I was in Manila for a day. It was for work. Surprisingly, Manila was so sunny. It was a serious typhoon for 2 weeks, but once I arrived, the weather became so good. My vendor also said ” Manila shined for you, Joyce!”
I honestly didn’t get around much as it was a very short and rush trip for a day.
