Latin American Grill
I love their food. I had my lunch in there once, and ever bought some food to go. I had Bistec de Pollo Milanesa for dinner tonight. It’s a chicken fillet covered with cheese. It comes with rice and deep fried potato. The lemon sauce is nice too. You can choose deep fried banana if you want. They are typical Latin American sides. I have them almost everyday now. Their coffee is excellent especially the Cuban coffee.
I love this picture because the shape of the top roof that matched so well with the colour of sky. You can see how good weather is in Miami. It’s hot but not too hot. It was almost 5:30pm while I took this picture.

I tried to finish it, but just couldn’t. It was too rich though it was very delicious.

Your laugh make my day!
Joyce! You know what? Your laugh really make my day! A much better day! I am very happy.
I am so happy to hear that my laugh can make someone a better day. I have never thought that I have such ability to make others’ happy. What I mean is the real HAPPINESS!
The reception lady gave me a BEAR HUG when I left the office this afternoon. She said she doesn’t want me to leave. I told her I am not leaving this week, but the next week. She said “Yes, you should work in here for a year, not just few weeks. I like you so much. You are so pretty and sweet. We have to hang out next time when you are back.”
Most of my colleagues like me. They like laughing once they see me. They just laugh without any reasons. It’s just friendly gesture, but I really don’t know what I do to make them laugh. They said I am very funny and nice. No matter what they said, I am happy, and I think I just act the way I am. My CEO does give me a hug every time when he sees me in the office. It seems that our office culture is full of happiness and joy.
I am very happy lately without any particular reasons. It’s good to be happy without any reasons. You are happy because of yourself, not because of someone/something. In this case, you also make others happy. It means you are well balanced.
BTW, I am now watching Dancing With The Stars!! I love it!!! My God! I missed three dance classes already because I am here. How am I going to pass my exam???? You know what? We will have our own video for our performance, so here is the name of my individual DVD – Dancing With Joyce!!!
Resting day
I didn’t go out today. I feel so exhausted. I will be off to New York the coming Wednesday. It will be a very tiry trip. I only stay for 3 days. I am exciting about it as I eventually can visit New York City.
I bought a Cheese Burger for dinner from Shorty’s. It was my client actually. In fact, many of my old clients are around in my hotel area such as Taco Bell, Wendy’s and Shorty’s, etc. I have been working for American markets for so long………..
My Burger dinner was indeed too rich for me. I definitely couldn’t finish it.

I don’t understand why they gave me so much extra sauce. It’s actually a portion for few people. Strangely, the salad is in extremely small portion this time.

Sunbath on Fort Lauderdale Beach
It was an Easter weekend. We had half day off on Friday, but I realised that not all companies do have a day off on Good Friday in the U.S. However, my colleagues told me most of companies do have a whole day off on Good Friday in Florida, but we only have half day off.
I went to Fort Lauderdale today. I had a great time and was able to get some nice tan on Fort Lauderdale Beach. A friend of mine drove me to Fort Lauderdale. We had a very nice lunch in a restaurant by the beach. I love the seafood soup. The scallop was so fresh and delicious. The Seafood Lousie salad was also great! I loved their live music playing especially when they sang a song called “No Woman No Cry”, a well known one sang by Bob Marley.

This is the restaurant we went. I don’t remember its name now. It wasn’t a fancy restaurant, but it was with nice food.

The scene we looked out from the restaurant.

Fort Lauderdale Beach…We sat by the beach for an hour. The weather was great, and not too hot. It was an enjoyable day!

We also went to Las Olas. It was a very nice area with fancy stores and galleries. We walked around, and got into a fancy chocolate store called Kilwin’s. Their ice cream and chocolate are fantasic. I got a gift from this store - a piece of strawberry with chocolate dip and a box of Dark Pecan Bark. I also had their Lemon Sobert ice cream. It was so delicious. We also went to Hilton and The Cheese Factory. I really enjoyed my day!

Eating light
The food here is indeed too rich. I can have them fine about a week, but then I need to quit in my entire stay. I prefer supermarket food, and to eat less.

I found lots of lovely chocolate cookies in the local supermarket. I will never get sick of them!!

The road to work with a Spanish speaking companion
Me: Who was calling?
Driver: Someone from our company
Me: Because we were late?
Driver: Yes!
Me: Oh dear! It was your fault, because you were late, not me.
And we both laughed. Yes, he needs to pick me up every morning, and sends me back to the hotel after work. If he is late, then I am also late.
His Spanish speaking did inspire me this morning. He kept talking in Spanish on phone since I got into his car. He talked non stop, but did stop for a little while before he talked on another call. I guessed that it was someone from our company though I don’t understand Spanish. And it was right. I took video of him and the way he drove to our company. It was so interesting that I listen Spanish everyday, but I know nothing about it. At times, I can figure out what they are on about. The sound is so similar to English actually if you listen carefully.
He knew I was taking video of him. He didn’t mind. He knows what I am like. We know eachother very well now. He doesn’t speak much English, but we communicate very well.
Baby food
Me: Can you introduce me something good on the menu, but not in big portion?
Waiter: You can order baby food!
Hahhaaa! I can’t stop laughing.
He offered me a children menu. I ordered chicken breast with salad. However, it still looked kind of a big portion in my eyes.
This is called BABY FOOD. It’s the adult portion in Asia. The salad is nothing small in my eyes.

I still love shrimp cocktail. The portion is small in this restaurant. The French onion soup was great, just love the cheese on the top.

Progress by Obama
I bought this mug in a souvenir store of Lincoln Road. It’s a Obama mug called Progress. The shop assistant walked towards me, and said “You should get a Obama mug for souvenir! Let’s imagine you wake up with your President next to you everyday! How nice!!.” I asked him if he likes him very much. He said “Yes, for sure, every American does!.” Haha! He is not my president, but I like him for sure. Yes, I got the mug, and it will be with me in my new office. LoL It means PROGRESS!!! I like it!

I am back!!
I am back!! The same beach, the same place, but just more people. The South Beach was full of people. It was very hot today, but very comfortable. I loved it. I didn’t spend my time to sit around this time, but just walked around a little. I forgot to put any sun lotion on, so I didn’t stay too long.
I figured it out that I can visit this beach at least four times a year so I can experience different seasons of it.
Many people sat by the open cafes in Ocean Drive. Music was around in every corner of streets. Women wore very hot bikini walking around with their cheerful dogs. Many women were topless on the beach. The overall atmosphere was indeed VERY HOT, and I just loved it. Miami Beach! I LOVE YOU!!

I had a very nice late lunch in an open restaurant. It’s an Italian restaurant. They played live music from 20s, 30s and 40s. I just loved the atmosphere, and the music they played. It made you feel like being in somewhere Europe. Apparently, I found many tattoo stores around Lincoln Road area. No wonder there was a programme called Miami Ink on Discovery travel channel.

Here is the scene and atmosphere I captured in the Italian restaurant.
Texas de Brazil

It’s a very cool restaurant called Texas de Brazil. You don’t have menu. They serve you with meat on skewers. The waiters come around your table, and give you what they have on the skewers. If you don’t want the food, then you place a paper tage with “No Thank you!”. If you wanted it, then place the one with “Yes, Please!”. Whatever I placed on the table, they still kept giving me meats, because they thought I am a tourist.
The BBQ meat tastes good, but I found them a bit salty. Their salad bar is nice with various choices of vegetables. It’s fun experience, but I may not visit again.
I love this with soft cheese inside.
