Destiny
Have you ever thought of meeting friends who you totally lost contact for up to 20 years?
Have you ever thought of destiny and what it means to you?
Miracle does happens. Destiny is already well set in our life.
I received a message from a girl through Facebook last week. I couldn’t tell who it was to begin with but it was a girl from Thailand. Three days after I went to Saigon, I decided to leave for Bangkok on the forth day. Meanwhile, I replied to her message by telling her that I was actually going to Thailand. I eventually realised that it was a girl, who I studied with in boarding school twenty years ago. She left me her phone number. I called her the day I arrived in Bangkok. Yes, it was a Thai girl, who studied in the same boarding school with me twenty years ago. We all were Micklefield’s girls! (Micklefield School, Seaford, East Sussex, England)
We met up for dinner. One more girl (another Thai girl who shared room with me in the school) appeared in the dinner apart from the one who contacted me. Three of us had great dinner together, and caught up with our life, ups and downs…..It’s like a drama. It’s the scene you will only see in the movie, but it does happens in real life.
We called that “destiny”

Long time! Long time!
Hi! Everyone!
I haven’t been written anything here for long long time. I am totally lost in my travel regardless they are trips of personal or work. I have been so busy, and filled up with many ups and downs.
After my Miami trip, I didn’t stop travelling. I went to Taiwan for a wedding during Christmas. I went to Hangzhou for a work trip as well as for my birthday. Two weeks later, I went to Guam Island for another wedding. A week later, I went to Shanghai for another work trip, and Hangzhou in the following week. I headed to Saigon for Ted, and here I am now in Bangkok, Thailand after 4.5 years since the last visit.
My life is all about travel.
No commentsA day in Parkland
I went to visit a friend who live in Parkland. We went to the local Deli. It seems that I am very familiar with Deli now as I always have meals in Deli, and always go with the same person.
It was a nice day, a nice chat, a nice visit and nice weather. I enjoyed my day!

Food, food, food….
My beloved French soup…I didn’t have it since my last visit in Miami…

My first Japanese meal in Miami…amazingly good!! Interesting that they don’t have chopsticks, so it’s first time to eat sushi with fork. They made sushi the same way as those in Japan, very traditional I am surprise. They just don’t eat with soy sauce, that’s!

First meal on the night arrived in Miami
I stayed in a different hotel for the first week in Miami before I moved back to another hotel, where I usually stay. It’s a business meeting week. We arranged all the guests to stay in the same hotel the first week.
It’s a nice hotel. They gave me a piece of cookie for my arrival, pretty good!! It became my first meal of the night.

Saigon again in three months!
I had done many things for my job. I had been for some nice dinners, nice “shopping” for my job, nice time spending with a friend. It was also a short trip, but three days this time.

One day wandering around in Manila!!
I was in Manila for a day. It was for work. Surprisingly, Manila was so sunny. It was a serious typhoon for 2 weeks, but once I arrived, the weather became so good. My vendor also said ” Manila shined for you, Joyce!”
I honestly didn’t get around much as it was a very short and rush trip for a day.

Pack and Go! Go! Go! Go!
I haven’t updated my blog much lately. I don’t even have time to pack. I am going away again!!
I am off to Manila tomorrow, then Saigon, and Saturday I will be in gorgeous Miami again for at least 3 weeks.
I was worrying the weather of Manila, as the super typhoon hit Manila directly last week, but now seems to be ok. My vendor told me that there will be one more typhoon hitting Philippines the coming Tuesday. She worries that I might not leave on Tuesday if I go on Monday. You can see that how tight my schedule is. I will be in Manila for one day, then three days in Saigon, and then off to the U.S., only one day for break in between.
My Mama Mia!! See you then!
No commentsMy “daughter” eventually arrived!!
Profile of my “daughter” finally arrived. A 4 years old Cambodian girl I sponsored since last month, but the profile had just arrived few days ago. I call her my “daughter”. The profile included a photo of her and her mother. Her parents are both farmers. She lives in the country side of Cambodia. I can visit her probably once a year. We can exchange cards, letter and photos.
In the near future, I will sponsor one or two more child from China and Africa. I watched a programme of Oxfam last night that many kids are in life with very poor condition around the world. There are so many unfortunate in this world who needs help from us.
