Long time no eat…
I don’t mean that I didn’t have Chinese food for long but the delivery food YES! I am not really a VERY CHINESE person who needs to eat Chinese meal everyday. In fact, rice and noodles are not something necessary for my diet. I was so curious what the Chinese food tastes like in Miami, so I decided to order food delivery tonight. Needless to say, nothing tastes good…. I am not surprise as here is not San Francisco or Los Angeles. It made me to think of those Chinese take away stores when I lived in Seafood, England. Usually, you can find delicious Chinese food in decent Chinese restaurants of big cities such as New York, London, Manchester, Cambridge, and even Brighton. Western style Chinese food is common in small cities, or in cities without majority of Chinese population like Miami.
Anyway, I am not so into them. I ordered Shezhun style scallop with rice and hot and sour soup, but really far from original. The Shenzhun dish tastes sweet, not spicy, and the soup just tastes strange….lol
Well tried….Joyce Lee! You are brave!!…;-)
I like the paper box that keeps rice. It looks cute!!

Happy Halloween!
I experienced Halloween many times in different places, but this time is the most original experience I had ever had. It’s also the first time I experienced such fun in the office. We had costume competition, games and dance. Of course! We had fun.

Lunch
I have the same menu everyday for lunch. I totally run out of ideas what I should eat as I tried most of the food on the menu already. I also don’t know why we only have one menu for lunch…..???

iPod touch
I bought one for myself and one for my sister. It’s much cheaper to buy in here though my sister said. She wanted me to get her an iPhone but of course it won’t work in H.K.

Live music playing in Apple store
Surprisingly, Apple store invited a local band to play live music in their store on Lincoin Road for introduction of their latest music online.
It was pretty good. They kept me standing there for half an hour, just watching.

Longest summer of the year, 2009!
Have you ever noticed that no matter what photos I posted lately, they all are in summer?? Since last December, I only experienced three months of winter time throughout 2009 (now it’s almost November). I was in Miami during December, 2008. It was HOT! I was in Miami during April this year, and IT WAS VERY HOT!! I was back to H.K. during May, and it became sightly HOT. I was in Cambodia during June and July, and WAS CRAZILY HOT!! The rest of time I spent in H.K. and Mainland, was unbelievable HOT in every single corner of Chinese region. Hangzhou was EXOTIC HOT. When I was in Vietnam and Philippines during August and October, needless to say it was also VERY HOT. I am here now in Miami, it’s certainly HOT, and sometimes is VERY HOT.
Here are some latest scenes of Miami Beach and Lincoin Road in Fall.

Lunch with steaks everyday!
My colleagues love steaks. Therefore, they order me steaks almost everyday. In fact, there are not many choices on the menu for food delivery. They are always pizzas, salad, sandwich and some Cuban food. My colleagues hate pizza, well I am not big with it anyway. One of the best choices should be steak sandwich in Cuban style and chicken salad.

A little Latino cafe
The most interesting thing I found in Miami is that you can find Latino culture in every single corner. This little Latino cafe did catch my eyes. I like the decoration. It’s vintage. I like the music, and I love their MONCA!! It’s nothing like Starbuck quality, I mean much better, and ABSOLUTELY UNFORGETTABLE!! I felt like sitting in a cafe during 50s, and in somewhere South America.

Food, food, food….
My beloved French soup…I didn’t have it since my last visit in Miami…

My first Japanese meal in Miami…amazingly good!! Interesting that they don’t have chopsticks, so it’s first time to eat sushi with fork. They made sushi the same way as those in Japan, very traditional I am surprise. They just don’t eat with soy sauce, that’s!
