HKD6,000???
HKD6,000.00 for these, almost USD800.00!!….The original price was almost HKD10,000.00. I almost freaked out when my mum told me. They are very famous expensive Chinese medicine. It doesn’t even weight more than 500gm for what you see. My mum bought it especially for my status after my eye surgery. It’s just to maintain good health in long run. People can take it for health maintenance even though they are not ill. Many cancer patients do have positive effects on their health once they take it in long term, but it’s very expensive to have them everyday.

So what do you do with them? Tea?
And what are they called
From the picture and from the price you mentioned, I think these are “caterpillar fungus.” I heard that they are good for the immune system, although I would never pay that much for chinese medicine. No doubt your mom loves you very much.
Issack:
It could be cooked with meat or with some other Chinese herbal materials. It’s like a soup actually. You can see the following link. It’s originally from Tibet.

Some people take it only for personal health advantages. Their advantages are evidenced in many research included the western ones.
Yes, one more…
Cancer patients do have significant improvement in health status once they take it for long run. Friend of my mum did take it for quite long time and she got full recovery by taking it.
