Happy Year of Pig!
New year cleaning
I almost cleaned up the whole house today. I got our windows with all the new curtains. They all look good. I placed our peony next to the window, which we just bought from the garden in the village nearby where we live. Local people grow them, and sell them to the new year flower market. The seed of peony is actually from Shanton, China, and is suitable to grow only in the winter. The half-grown peony has been freeze and transported by plane from Shanton to HK around 3 months ago, then the farmer keeps them growing in HK during winter. It’s hard to grow them again once Chinese New Year is over as we tried last year, but it didn’t work. It’s related to the climate and also the skills. I think we are not going to buy New Year flower this year in flower market as they are too heavy to carry home, but only visit the flower market in New Year Eve. I will visit with my parents as usual like every year.
Clean up is done, what is next to be prepared? We went to supermarket today to buy all the New Year food stuff. They are New Year sweet cakes, sweets and New Year dry food. It’s good that they have free delivery service, so we didn’t need to bring anything home, and only shopped for what we want then waiting for our delivery at home next day.
I still need to clean up the balcony upstair tomorrow, and also wash my dogs. Everything will look clean, fresh and new in our house for New Year!! We do clean up regularly, but New Year cleaning is something different from normal cleaning. It’s just Chinese tradition.

Mind in peace, but hungry stomach
I had two hours yoga class today, yoga and meditation, but it was quite different from what I used to learn. The way the new teacher teaches is definitely different from what Yogi used to teach. I think their yoga style is totally different. We do postings more related to stretching rather than bending and folding in Yogi’s class. Each post has very close connection of eachother that I did find easily to miss it if I couldn’t follow every single detail of what the teacher was doing. The teacher can move from one position to another without using much force. He did it lightly in every pose. I found these two sites, which can sum up with what we did today, but not completely covered everything as we did a lot more - Intermediate yoga and Advanced yoga
I feel better with today’s meditation. It’s definitely better than last week. I feel spiritually satisfied after one hour meditation. It’s hard to achieve the state of “thoughtless awareness”, but definitely helps to maintain my mind in peace. While I was meditating, I can’t help to think of food!! Gosh! I was indeed hungry as the room was kind of cold with air condition on, especially while everyone kept quiet and meditating. I just can’t help to have a big bowl of noodle again, biscuit and a cup of Latte right after class. It’s so typical of me eating a lot after exercise. LoL

Hong Kong! Hong Kong!
Indonesia! Indonesia!
Oh dear! We found ourselves sitting in a wrong area among all the Indonesian. We just took the seats, but didn’t think that we should sit in the Hong Kong side. We found it until we heard everyone sitting around us shouting “Indonesia!” It was so funny.
All the kids sat in front of us waving the Indonesian flags. The Indonesian visitors shouted a lot to support their team, but most of HK visitors remained silence. We were absolutely quiet until almost end of the competition some western teenagers started to shout “Hong Kong!” and tried to get the attention of HK team. My friend, Carrie, suddenly shouted “Don’t give up!” in Cantonese. hahaha! She was amazing! However, HK team lost to Indonesian team by 2 vs 4 the last session. They didn’t even try their best to get the score as we can see they were totally out of spirit. They probably thought they lost it anyway.
Oh well, I wasn’t interested in the competition much as I only accompanied my friends. I thought that it would be great to enjoy spring sunshine under such nice weather in Victoria Park. After the game, we went for a late lunch in Pokka Cafe. I had a big bowl of ramen. My God! They all are on diet. Three girls on the table didn’t eat much, and I was starving. Anyway, I had a very full meal. Their Ice Tiramisu coffee is very special, but I found it quite expensive for a cup of coffee. However, I had it for half price come with a set meal.
At night we had very nice dessert and drinks in a restaurant called something wine bar in Soho. I had a dark chocolate pie with Jack Daniel ice cream, which I have never tried it. It was really good, and sure I didn’t get drunk with that! lol
Anyway, I had a sunny cheerful day again!

It’s hot today but feeling comfortable……..and I enjoyed my day! ^_^

Delicious La Fleur!
Gosh! I went to eat again, and with my sister and Dad this evening. I found a very nice and small home style French restaurant located in St. Francis Yard, Wanchai, which I found from a magazine. The waiter, chef and waitress all look like they are from the same family. Anyway, they cooked great food!! I had French palombe with pan fried goose liver and French onion soup as well as French Escargots for starter. It tastes so delicious. I don’t know how to explain how delicious it is for what I had, but indeed I enjoyed my dinner very very much. The customers acted so much like they were eating at home, as I found that the restaurant manager knows everyone sitting in the restaurant except us. Overall, it’s a good one to give a try.
Two cups of Expresso

I had two cups of Expresso tonight after dinner, one single and one double. I am not a coffee person, but I do like drinking Expresso from time to time. It’s weird that I don’t like drinking dark coffee, but I do like Expresso. However, I can’t have it daily because my stomach can’t take it. I had my simple dinner in a restaurant called The Phoenix in Mid Level after the dance class. It’s a simple restaurant where you can have simple meals and drinks. The atmosphere is nice though. It’s a very comfortable place to sit around, and especially when you are having Expresso.

Besides the dinner, I also enjoyed my dance class tonight. My dance teacher said I dance well. We did Cha Cha and Quick Step tonight. I am surprise that I didn’t forget them, as I didn’t attend any dance class for almost four months. My previous teacher stopped teaching students last year, and introduced us his teacher. I am now taking it as a full course, and found it more appropriate for myself.
No commentsSpam overload!!
No kidding! I received spam mail more than 100 in my work mail box today! This is annoying as I need to keep deleting them one by one. They also appear in between the real work mails so I got to be careful while checking and deleting. It seems there is no solution for my work mail box.
