YOGAYUGA

Where there is YogaYuga, there is inspiration!

Only one each!

Hahaa I think this is very interesting and maybe funny. Speaking of policeman, there was a policeman distributing straws to customers inside McDonald. I did have a quick supper in McDonald before I got on the coach back to HK. After I got my meal, and wanted to get a straw for my coke; the cashier immediately pointed at the counter behind me. I looked back, and saw a policeman was distributing straws to every guest. He only gave one straw to each person. Someone dropped it on the floor, and asked for one more, he wasn’t very willing to give additional one to him. I think this is funny. Everyone was queuing for the straws with a tray of food meal holding in hands. :P I have never seen such scene in McDonald before….

That’s incredible. Are straws a rare treasure in China? I wonder if the policeman would haul you off to jail for taking 2 straws…

I just bought 250 straws for 99c at the 99c Store. I feel so lucky living in America, the land of plentiful straws! ;-)

Oh well…they won’t haul you off for sure..I guess this situation maybe only happened during the fair period. Anyway, I don’t understand the need of it…

This also reminds me of the scarcity of paper napkins in MacDonald’s Restaurants in Hong Kong. In the US, paper napkins are abundantly available for customers in every fast food restaurant. The difference is related more to the culture than to the wealth of a country. In Hong Kong, if napkins, straws, ketchup, and mustard are left unattended, they will be taken excessively by their customers and non-customers.

Yes, TT…….when you need all those in HK McDonald you need to ask for it, but except straws and napkins. I guess the straws in Guangzhou McDonald will be taken excessively by non-customers.
