My Chinese name
I was trying to type my Chinese name in response to the latest comment of Annie , but my Chinese typing programme doesn’t work! I can only use Roman pronunciation. (Pinyin) I can’t use the Taiwan pronunciation, as it’s very difficult to remember. Pinyin is much easier, but I still need dictionary for it. My work is less involved in Chinese typing, so I don’t use it too often. That’s why I didn’t know the programme has problem until today! I will try to re-install the new one. Anyway, here is my Chinese name…李穎芝….

Thanks for taking the trouble to type your Chinese name for me. It is a very SMART girl name:) It seems not apprehensible to me that “Wing Chi” is “穎芝”
Taiwan pronuncication? Is it Minnan Hua (the dialect in the south of Fujian)? I think the pronunciation of your name in it is not much different from the Pinyin:)
p.s. I ‘ll leave you a message for my real Chinese name:)
The Taiwanese one I mentioned is also for formal Mandarine, but they use different way from HK and China. Many people also use different methods for Chinese typing in HK which is also different from Pinyin.
BTW, do you know any way I can just download Pinyin programme on internet?
